Bandipora, Jun 12 (KNO): Residents of Kehnusa area in Tehsil Aloosa, in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, have Monday voiced their demand for a Srinagar-bound Roads Transport Corporation (RTC) bus service.
A local delegation told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the absence of such a service has been causing inconvenience and hardship for the local population.
“Despite Aloosa being home to a significant number of residents, the SRTC bus service to Srinagar has not been initiated, exacerbating the difficulties faced by the locals,” they said.
Expressing their concern, Iqbal Ahmad, a resident, stated, "We have raised this issue with the relevant authorities on multiple occasions, but unfortunately, no action has been taken so far."
“The absence of a SRTC bus service to Srinagar has made it incredibly challenging for us. We rely on public transportation for our daily commute, and this issue needs urgent attention,” said Abdul Hameed, a concerned resident.
“We feel neglected and overlooked. Our repeated pleas to the authorities have fallen on deaf ears. We hope the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora will take immediate action to alleviate our suffering,” Bashir Ahmad, another resident said.
Meanwhile, they appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora to address the matter promptly—(KNO)
